Welcome to Caerus. By using our platform, you agree to these terms and conditions. Please read them carefully.
1. Definitions
"Caerus" refers to the online platform accessible at caerusofficial.be, operated in Belgium. "User" refers to any individual registered on the platform. "Listing" refers to an offer to sell or give away a book published by a user. "Service" refers to all features offered by Caerus.
2. Purpose of the service
Caerus is a platform connecting students wishing to buy or sell university textbooks in Belgium. Caerus is not a party to transactions between users and cannot be held responsible for their proper completion.
3. Registration and account
Registration is free and open to any person of legal age or minors over 16 with parental consent. Users agree to provide accurate and up-to-date information. Each user may only have one account. Caerus reserves the right to suspend or delete any account in case of violation of these terms.
4. Publishing listings
Listings must exclusively concern books. The seller is responsible for the accuracy of the information provided (title, condition, price). Prices must be indicated in euros (EUR). The maximum allowed price is EUR 5,000. Listings at EUR 0 are considered donations. Caerus reserves the right to remove any listing that does not comply with these conditions.
5. Liability
Caerus acts as a technical intermediary and is not responsible for the quality of books sold, user behaviour or transactions carried out. Users are solely responsible for their exchanges. Caerus cannot be held liable for any direct or indirect damages resulting from use of the platform.
6. Intellectual property
All content on the platform (design, logo, texts, code) is the property of Caerus and is protected by Belgian and international intellectual property law. Any unauthorised reproduction or use is prohibited.
7. Data protection
The processing of personal data is governed by our Privacy Policy, in compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). For more information, please see our Privacy page.
8. Applicable law and jurisdiction
These terms are governed by Belgian law. In case of dispute, the courts of Belgium shall have exclusive jurisdiction, without prejudice to the rights granted to consumers by European legislation.
